TOP 10 INVENTIONS completely by accident, that changed the world FOREVE...

These TOP 10 inventions, came about completely by accident, and they changed the world FOREVER!!!

So many things happen completely accidental and random. Sometimes bad things happen for a good reason and sometimes good things happen for a bad reason.
These good accidental inventions, happened for a very good reason and most of us, enjoy their benefits.

The Implantable Pacemaker

An adjunct professor of engineering at the University of Buffalo, Wilson Greatbatch accidentally invented the pacemaker in 1956. When working on building equipment intended to record heart sounds, the scientist used the wrong transistor and discovered that instead of recording sounds, his device gave off an electrical pulse, mimicking that of the heart. Greatbatch presented his invention to William Chardack, a surgeon at Buffalo's Veterans Administration Hospital, in 1958, and together the two were able to successfully control a dog's heartbeat and, in 1960, a human's.

Penicillin.
The first name for penicillin was “mould juice.” Scottish bacteriologist Alexander Fleming accidentally discovered the antibiotic in 1928, when he came back from a vacation and found that a green mold called Pennicilium notatum had contaminated Petri dishes in his lab … and were killing some of the bacteria he’d been growing.

So he isolated the mold, grew more of it, and then experimented to see how many other bacteria it could kill. Lots of them, it turned out. We now know that penicillin works by preventing bacteria from forming new cell walls.
He identified a substance in the mold capable of inhibiting the growth of many common bacteria that infect humans. He called it penicillin.
During World War II, the urgent need for new antibacterial drugs led Ernst Chain and Howard Florey to further develop penicillin for therapeutic use.
Mass production of the antibiotic began in the early 1940s in the United States. The use of penicillin in the military greatly reduced the death rate from wounds in World War II.
Fleming was knighted in 1944 in recognition of his work, and in 1945 he shared the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine with Florey and Chain.

Anesthesia

In 1776, American dentist Horas Wells discovered nitrous oxide, popularly known as "paradise gas" or "laughing gas." His discovery soon became very popular and began to be used at social gatherings and in amusement parks as something that would make people laugh and entertain. He noted at one of these events that the actor who was under the influence of this gas during the play fell awkwardly, but after the fall he continued to act as if nothing had happened. So he discovered that while under the influence of nitric oxide, people do not feel pain. From 1844, he began using it for anesthesia to repair teeth.

Eraser

In 1770, Englishman Joseph Prestley mistakenly tried to wipe the ink with a gum resin from a tree instead of bread crumbs that people had previously wiped ink with, and found that it actually cleans the matter much better than crumbs. He soon got rich by selling his invention - eraser erasers.

Ice cream on a stick - Popsicles

Back in 1905, eleven-year-old Frank Eperson mixed a wooden stick with a juice made of powder and water and accidentally left it on the terrace. The night was very cold, and in the morning he was greeted with frozen juice with a stick. Delighted with the result, he patented his discovery in 1924 under the name Epsicle. A few years later the children persuaded him to change the name of his invention to Popsicle.

Viagra

One of the most famous accidental discoveries is Viagra. The chemists who made it sought a cure for high blood pressure and heart problems. During the test, they did not see any results in this regard, but found that this blue pill successfully affects the intimate parts of the male body.

Nutella

After World War II, it was very difficult and expensive to get cocoa beans, so confectioner Pietro Ferrero came up with a chocolate cream that replaced 50 percent of the cocoa beans with hazelnuts. The dessert, which he called gingerbread, became a huge hit and Ferero soon began selling it to other treats.

Coke - bts

John Stit Pemberton, an Atlanta pharmacist who developed a serious addiction to morphine, decided to come up with a drug that would help him get rid of those awful habits.

Vulcanized Rubber

Vulcanized rubber, used to make durable things like car tires, was accidentally invented in 1839 by Charles Goodyear.

Brandy

In the 16th century, a Dutch shipmaster was trying to make wine easier to transport, and so he decided to use heat to concentrate the alcohol, with a plan to add water to it once he arrived at his destination. However, what he discovered was that the taste of concentrated wine is much better than that of watered-down wine, and so he forewent the water part of his plan and called his new alcohol brandewijn, meaning "burnt wine" in Dutch.

Abstract Reasoning Online jobs assessment - Real Time - Real test

The abstract reasoning online jobs assessment test.

Real-time, online Job Assessment

So, what is Abstract Reasoning?

How to prepare for it and how to approach this test?

One thing we can do today is Let's talk about it and let me show you a real-time real example test!

The abstract reasoning test,

also called

the conceptual reasoning test or form of a logical reasoning test supposed to a test that measures your observational ability, lateral thinking and deductive intelligence, which are your ability to quickly identify patterns, logical rules and trends in new data, integrate this information and apply it to solve problems.

Logical Reasoning:

Please allow me to give you an example of logical reasoning:

I am a Leadership expert and educational Infotainer.

I am trying to create an entertaining, informative, educational and engaging videos.

My goal is to Ad a great value to your investment - which is Your time spent watching this video.

I would love my audience to enjoy the content I create, engage by commenting and providing feedback and I would be so happy if you visit my channel again.

I would love to grow my channel and collaborate with other creators.

Your feedback and comments tell me what I am doing right and what I am doing wrong and how to improve and create the content that you would love watching and get involved.

By subscribing, liking and sharing you display your support and encourage our channel to grow.

So logically,

I should ask you to subscribe to my channel,

like, comment and share my videos on your social media platforms with your friends and family.

Let's go back to the test:

Although, in my opinion, this test doesn't guarantee an employer to find a perfect fit for the position, it allows them to gain some insight into your logic, logical reasoning and problem solving reasoning.

I have seen so many comments in forums and on youtube how these tests are useless and for so many that have managed to get 97%+ have never made it into the talent pool.

I know, for candidates it is a disheartening experience and attaches a negative opinion about that potential employer.

However, I strongly recommend, If you have an opportunity to do a similar test, Just do it.

The trick is to approach it with an open mind and no expectations at all.

Another trick is to practice as much as you can before you take the test.

Nothing will enhance your chances of success during your logical reasoning test more than familiarity with the content, structure and timing of the test. Practise makes perfect.

Watch out for the relative position,

a number of items,

the relationship between items,

colour, shape, and orientation of shapes:

there are many different variations on these rules and there may be some extraneous data in there that complicates the rules.

Linkedin and Live Networking - Reasons networking is important to your s...

Linkedin and Live Networking - Reasons networking is important to your success and how to do it well.

How to create a good network and what is considered good networking.

https://youtu.be/q0KAKZgZxU4 via @YouTube

#networking #linkedin #socialmedia #marketing #leadership #management

How important is to have a good network to your ability to accomplish your Vision, Dreams and Goals?

What can a good network do for you?
How to create a good network and what in fact is considered good networking.
Networking is the channel through which you sell your initiatives to the people you depend on for cooperation and support.
Its what you rely on to win over the sceptics.
It protects you from clueless dynamics that so often kill good ideas.

Your relationships are also the best way to change with your environment and industry if needed.

Without a good network, you will also limit your own imagination about your own career prospects.
You never know!

Your network is also what puts you on the map of people who control your next career move.

In short,
your network is a crucial source
of outsight on your job, business and everything else to which you aspire.
Networks run on the principle of reciprocity.

The value of diverse relationships lies not only in what your contacts can do for you,
but also on what you can do for them.

If nothing else:
fresh ideas, insights, and advice on best practices.

It is an opportunity to get a 360-degree perspective wich you can only get from cultivating relationships with a diverse mix of peers, juniors and seniors regardless of their current operational capacity and willingness and openess in removing
six degrees of separation principle out of the Networking Circle.
But just because a person knows that a network is important to their success, it
doesn't mean they are devoting sufficient time and energy to making it useful and strong.
In fact, few of us do.

LINKEDIN...
Great networking tool and source of priceless networking resources.
A highly underused and undervalued Networking tool.

So many, create their Linkedin account as a symbolic gesture,
Use it as a display cabinet for their accolades and trophies and that's where the story ends.

If you are on Linkedin right now,
How would you rate the quality of your current network?
How would you rate your contributions, actions and use of such an amazing tool?

Even in a business world that hugely depends on diversity,
We are habitually hardwired to be drawn to people who are "like us".

Strictly based on common ground, we give those people the benefit of the doubt, insisting on creating artificial conditions that increase the likelihood that a relationship will potentially develop.
Without common ground or common cause, for many of us, its harder to relate to people.

Bias, Laziness, Pride and Ego are the greatest enemies of true Networking.
People who fail to engage in networking justify their choice as a matter of personal values.
A lack of experience with networking also leads people to question whether it's a legitimate use of their time, especially when the network structure does not immediately appear relevant, usable or fully beneficial to their current situation.
Another subconscious detriment is
"Why widen my circle just so I could be asked to help someone, buy something from someone...?"
IF everyone you know knows the same people you do...
flow of ideas, information and opportunities gets stuck in the same circle in the same environment in the same segment.

So Lets break it down and

Tell me about yourself - How to answer The Nemesis Job Interview questi...

How to answer Tell me about yourself - The Nemesis Job Interview question

Strategy and Approach

Let's Break it down.

You have just sat down for a job interview and interviewer John, introduced him self to you and the first thing that comes out of his repertoire is:
Tell me a little bit about yourself?
A first that comes to your mind is to
Go into a 6th gear and just pump out as much information as you can as fast as possible and this is usually how it starts:

Absolutely John.
I was born very young.I grew up in Little City, where, as you know, Your company has always had a huge presence.
I was excellent student and My fascination with sales started…
Say WHAT???
STOP!!!
Hold on for a second -
You have just lost your interviewer.
The interviewer already started preparing plans for dinner in their mind -
dinner is served!

Hold On!!! - Stop - Breathe - Think

The unwritten rule of a job interview is to keep the interviewer engaged in your answers.

Do you know what they are truly looking for?
Did they tell you anything about the position, company or their challenges?
In general, they are looking to draw a conclusion that your skills, knowledge, experience and personal & professional traits will be the perfect fit for their company, that you can solve their challenges and add value.

This question usually comes as an ice-breaker and you need to find out what specifically they are looking for?
Don't just rely on the job description alone and don’t assume that the interviewer is interested in your personal story- No they are not!!!
ASK!
The 20 / 80 Sales Rule says:
20% of your effort should deliver 80% of your success!
and your effort is divided into 20-20-60 rule
Just as in sales
20% of your available time, Ask open ended questions
20% presentation
60% Let them talk and you listen carefully.
When you feel that the answer is almost concluded, fire another question.

Let them tell you what they need and answer accordingly:
Lets Try Again:
I am Jon, Sales Manger,
Tell me a little bit about yourself?

Absolutely Jon,
before I start may I ask you a couple of questions?
99% of the times they will agree.
You have to prepare at least 4 questions for your interviewer but
Here is the catch,
When you question your interviewer, make sure that your question has main question and sub question within!
That means they will have to answer 2 questions.
Usually, they will answer the first part and skip the second usually because they only hear the first part.
Be prepared to remind them about the second question.

A) Is there anything from my past that got your attention that you would like to hear more about and what part of my past is your priority?
B) By what criteria will you select the person for this job and what is the main priority of this role?
C) Please tell me about the company challenges and issues that this position is facing? What results would you like to see in the first month of this role.
D) If I was selected candidate for this position, what would be my greatest accomplishment within the first 3 months that would make you proud of selecting me for the position?

Let them talk and tell you what you need to say!

Business owners love to brag about their accomplishments and achievements…
Ask what is their biggest achievement?
According to their answer, align your views with theirs and hit their soft spot.
Everybody has one…all you have to do ask and carefully listen.
The answer will be revealed to you.
